How it works

Three steps.
One winner.

1

Tell us the car

The model, your ZIP code and your budget. Takes two minutes.

2

Dealers bid

We email the dealers near you and ask each one for its full price in writing. Then we tell them the lowest price so far and ask if they can beat it.

3

You pick the cheapest

In 3 business days you get the prices, ranked. We point out any junk fees and give you the exact words to use at the dealer.

Why now

The clock is real.

Dealers count their sales by the month and the year. Near the end, many will cut a deal to hit their number.

31 December 2026 is the end of the sales year. The 2027 models are arriving now, so dealers want the 2026 cars gone.

Sources: end-of-month and year sales quotas (PNC, Edmunds car-buying guides); new model years arrive in the fall and dealers clear older stock (Autotrader). We can't promise a dealer will discount.

We work only for you

Dealers never pay us. No deals, no referral money.

You stay in charge

We never sign, pay a deposit or buy for you. Your phone number stays private.

Not in every state yet

We don't serve California, New Jersey, New York or Texas yet. Every other US state is open.

Questions

Simple answers.

What do I get for $49?

Written full prices (tax and fees included) from dealers near you for the car you want, one round where they compete, and a short report that ranks them and tells you what to say when you buy. Three business days after you say yes.

Who writes to the dealers?

An assistant at DealerDuel, on your behalf. Every email says that plainly and uses your real name. We never pretend to be you. We don't serve California, New Jersey, New York or Texas yet.

Do dealers pay you?

No. Never. You pay us $49 and that's the only money we take. That way we only work for you.

What if dealers don't answer?

If we can't get at least 3 written, itemised prices within 5 business days, you get your $49 back and you keep the report.

Do I have to buy?

No. You get the prices and decide. You buy from the dealer you pick, yourself.

Do you share my phone number?

No. Dealers get your name and email only. We share your phone only if you tell us to.

Which cars?

New cars from franchised dealers in the US. No used cars or leases yet.

Is the countdown real?

Yes. It counts to the last day of this month and to 31 December, the dates dealers close their monthly and yearly sales. It never resets.
